Bottom Panthers PFF Performers - Preseason Week 1

The problem is, it's going to be impossible to judge the DLine talent without Star, KK, and CJ out there. That's the one area where you can't look at preseason film and say, well, yeah, that guy sucks. But, on the flipside, when you see someone excel given that those players are absent, then it's eye opening. 

Let's see if Cox does it next preseason game

Don't want Ealy but after the first preseason, but let's not act like the Panthers doesn't have a history of keeping players way too long...

Ealy has played one season. Did Greg Hardy or Charles Johnson look like All-Pro Defensive Ends after their first season? Give the guy two more full seasons before making ridiculous judgements like this.

Same discussion fans had about Everette Brown, Sione Fua, and Terrell McClain for a couple seasons. All 3 are still in the NFL filling reserve rolls for other teams who keep passing them around.

I agree with WOW.  PFF isn't the end all be all.  Ealy did play terrible though but I'm optimistic he'll get it together sooner than later.

Didn't get to see the game. Ealy was the whipping boy last year and finished a bit better. Was a bit surprised to hear that he struggled this bad to start the year, but it was the 1st pre-season game.

I always find these threads hilarious because moat people's misconceptions about PFF are pretty funny. Not even hard to find/figure out how their grading works and how to actually apply it(context).

Hopefully ealy will wake up some.  If not the cox kid is knocking on the door if continues to play like game 1.
