Opinions: is Frank Alexander a possible cut?

Really starting to think Addison might win the job. I don't think we are in a position to cut frank though.

Too quick to say after 1 game but in my opinion IF Cox continues to play like he did the person that might be on the outside looking in its Wes Horton. I don't see what he brings to the table and had less potential than Frank or Ealy

Can't really form any concrete takes off of 1 preseason game.  Next week guys who looked bad might look great and guys who looked good could be horrible.  

Frank Alexander would have owned people IMO if he played the entire 4th Q and only that.

Absolutely not! This guy is the front runner to play opposite of Johnson.  

Alexander and Addison played far superior to Horton and Ealy. Even when they couldn't be there to make the play, Alexander and Addison still put in effort to chase the ball carrier or receiver down. Ealy half assed it and then today had the nerve to say he thought he "played okay". Ealy played very very bad and if you go back for a 2nd watch, focus on him this will be crystal clear. Horton probably tried hard but from a talent perspective he was outmatched. The most likely odd man out of those 4 would have to be Horton.

 

edit: had some time on my lunch break I'm so took another look. Im being too hard on Ealy. He didn't play great but not the disaster I previously thought.

Unless Frank misunderstands the meaning of "joint practice" with the Miami Dolphins, I think he'll make the roster.

I would imagine that with his suspensions he is already close to being on the bubble but him staying on the team now... is based on his play versus his competition. One preseason game is to early to tell.

Don't see Frank getting cut......just don't have enough DE depth for him to be considered expendable.  I know it's already been said by like 8 people in this thread, but it was the very first preseason game......

Perspective means everything when evaluating players' performances.  I can win a dunking contest if I play on an eight foot goal against middle-schoolers.
