Star traveled to Jacksonville and while the rest of the team was inside getting dressed for warm-ups, he was stretching, practicing his footwork, and using the goalpost by the Panther fans to practice his hand-fighting. No coaches or other players around. Just himself. I interpret that as him wanting to do everything he can to get healthy and taking every chance he can get to keep his skills from getting rusty. #selfmotivated

Also, Chuck always seems to start the year slow doesn't he. 

Only in the last two years when hasn't played hardly any in the preseason. He got off to pretty good starts in the years prior when he played in 3 or 4 preseason games. This year he played in none and last year he only played a couple series in the 2nd preseason game.

it was against Jax but that being said that was without Star and Luke for a half.....wow this defense could be special

As anyone who has been following my kind of rambling posts in the Week 1 Stats & Analysis thread will have seen, I decided to try and analyze "big plays" for both teams, so I can track that statistic for each Carolina game this year.  That led me to creating a visual representation of each drive of the game in regard to big plays & outcome of each drive. 

Incredible to see that not only did we shut out JAX in the 2nd half, but the did not even ever cross the 50 yard line in the 2nd half.  I hadn't realized that until I saw it in front of my eyes on the table I created.  REALLY impressive.  JAX was threatening quite seriously throughout the whole 2nd quarter.  They left points on the field (as did we).  But whatever adjustments our D made at halftime worked in a BIG WAY.  Here's the chart so you can see for yourselves how the game is a tale of two halves for JAX:

      Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.

      I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football

      I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
