Each and every year we see a young player or two that go from being backups to starters by the end of the season. Last year it was Bene Benwikere and Tre Boston. Who will it be this year.

EDIT: This is multiple choice so you can select more than 1 player.

I'm sure several of them will get some starts at various times due to injuries, etc.   Not sure who might become a full-time starter.

Three weeks ago, I would have said Daryl Williams would become a starter during the season for sure.  But right now our Oline is playing so solidly, I'm not sure we want to mess with it unless we need to.   Kalil seems to be fully over his knee sprain.  Oher is adequate... Remmers has been showing he deserves to be out there - especially how he played against JJ Watt & co.   Most important is that we have D. Williams available as healthy depth for late in the season.  We can't go into December with Amini Silatolu as our emergency tackle backup!!  So, hopefully Williams heals quickly and can start getting some reps and get back into game shape slowly after the bye.

JStew is a bit banged up this week, and I'm not sure he can continue carrying such a load... so chances for CAP to start at some point are good.

I could see Funchess or Norwood possibly getting a starting spot over Philly Brown if they develop well, but it may be awhile yet...

So far im really dissapointed with stew. I thought we would see that tough running we saw in december of last year. I know this oline needs gel, but the online wasnt great lsat year either and stew still got yards.

it's not always the back. Offense is seeing a lot of loaded boxes because the defense doesn't respect our passing game. If Cam keeps making them pay with his arm, things will open up.

    • Option A:  Pay your starting QB starting QB money. Option B:  Look for a starting QB for 4-10 years (or longer) while wasting the talent at every other position.    How many of the top 20 QB's do you think are worth what they are being paid?   When you factor in the last year of his present deal his contract is really an average of 45 million per year which in today's QB market is a very, very good deal. I wish we'd had found a Brock Purdy to pay 50+ million a year right after we parted ways with Cam.  Ya'll go ahead and live in fairy tale land where good to great (much less elite) QB's are available to pay. Just the fact that they had the chance to pay Brock after the disaster of trading up for Lance is a testament that when you find a quarter back you can win with, complete in the playoffs and superbowls with, you pay him.
    • They will still be a playoff team but they aren't contenders anymore IMO. They won't be able to spend like they have when they went to a SB and proved he couldn't carry a win at that level with a really good team around him. Now he is going to have to do it with less to spend around him. They just locked in to being a playoff bound team that's going to be a known speed bump for whoever will represent the NFC in the SB.
    • Hmm. I think he'll live up to it. Last year, about half of his team was on IR it seems, at one time or another. Year before, Super Bowl appearance. Year before that, playoff run after being third on the depth chart and being pressed into service. Is he one of the greatest in the game right now? Nope. No chance of that. Is he in the top 10 going into next season? Pretty good chance of that.  Would 20 or more teams in this league love to have the guy as their starting QB. Most likely so. He's a good QB who can implement his coach's game plan to a T and has both the confidence of and confidence in his teammates. That'll take you a long way in this league if you've got the right cast around you, and he does.
