Should Carson Palmer be above Cam in the MVP race?

I listen to the Around the League podcast (yes, I am ashamed of that). Last night, Chris Wesseling (shocker) said that Carson Palmer would be his number two MVP right behind Tom Brady. 

Do you think this is justified? You could say Carson Palmer arguably has the most weapons in the league.

The purists want to put him up there to have a "traditional" (ie west coast pocket passer) QB to compete with Brady.  To the purist, Cam (dual threat) and Dalton (ginger) aren't in the running.

Above Cam?  Debatable.  In the discussion? yes.   The Arizona team without Palmer looks horrible.  The Arizona team with Palmer is a contender.  A strong contender.  Scary even.

Carson Palmer is having a great season and absolutely deserves to be in the conversation. Arizona is a legit team. without Palmer? not legit 

In my opinion the top three are 

Brady

Cam

Palmer

Palmer is having a good year.  However, the guy has Fitzgerald, Floyd, and Brown as his WR's.   Not a knock on him, he's in the discussion, but he isn't doing this with Tedd Ginn and Philly Brown.

Ted Ginn Jr. couldn't even get on the field last season in Arizona with all the weapons they have.

Cam IMO is more important to the Panthers than any other QB is to their team, but Palmer has been extremely impressive and is absolutely in the MVP conversation.  Arizona looks to be as big a threat as anyone else in the NFC this year.  If we do meet them again in the playoffs, it will be a much tougher matchup.  Granted, this Panthers team is better than last year across the board, but Palmer with Fitzgerald, Floyd, & Brown reminds me of Kurt Warner with Fitz, Boldin, & Floyd.  Nothing to be trifled with.
