About OT--Daley was not bad when he played. I know, injury history, but sometimes, it is just bad luck. I think he will win the LT job, but we have 3 who could reach the average level (Daley, Scott, Erving). I am not giving up on Christensen either, but I found Rhule's comments about him at RT to be disturbing. Was that for Moton negotiations or was he a depth pick? At 25, he needs to start now-can he beat out what we have at G now? Not seeing the spot for him at this time.
I don’t disagree at all. I wanted to go super OL heavy. I was happy to get Moore as an UDFA and while I’m not enamored with Brown at all, in the 6th is worth the chance he gets in shape.
If none of those 3 work out and Moton remains unsigned, we will be in the race for having the worst OL in NFL history in 2022.
I agree about Marshall--I am fairly sure we were going OT and this guy with a late first round grade is sitting there. BPA. It seems there is some reason (every year) we just do not prioritize the OT position.
That is not to say picking Marshall was the wrong thing to do-
Maybe Darnold will be faster at reading the defense and getting rid of the ball.
