So CAP has lost some weight...

Watching him last year it looked like he needed more time in the NFL weight room to be a power runner.   Which isn't rare for young RB.

Stewart was a rare find IMO.  He had a great base and legs and had it from day 1.  That aspect of him IMO is greatly underrated league wide (the fact he hasn't been healthy every year obvious has a lot to do with him not getting recognized for it )

If "base" includes feet and ankles then his base wasn't so good

it's not at all out of the question that CAP is losing weight at the direction of Panthers staff. lose a few pounds, maybe change how he trains... could be a plan to transition away from being the bell-cow 25 carries per game back at Auburn to a more specialized role in year 2 NFL. that could allow him to take some reps from Fozzy and find room on the gameday roster for Wegher.

Just another FYI on this subject.

Todd Gurley was a physical runner in the SEC.  He was a physical runner in the NFL as a rookie.

Todd Gurley is (was?) 6-1/227 according to the LA Rams website.

Now this:

Most people have to work hard to lose 10 to 15 pounds. Rams running back Todd Gurley is not like most people.

Gurley says when he weighed in at the Rams’ Organized Team Activities, he discovered that he had lost about 10 to 15 pounds. That wasn’t a specific goal but wasn’t unwelcome either.

“I don’t know what happened this offseason,” Gurley said. “I was just losing weight. It’s probably just having the first offseason not doing anything for about a month or two. I feel fine how I am so I’m not going to add weight.”

So lets split the difference and say he lost 12 1/2.  That makes Todd Gurley 6-1 and 214 1/2 lbs.

Is Todd Gurley doomed? :P
