And Thomas Davis and Kalil and Charles Johnson, and Stewart and brought in Tolbert and traded for Greg Olsen<--- which is still the most impressive move this team has ever made. 

So yea he was only responsible for 80% of the pro bowlers on the team last year. But bow down to the mighty Dave.

They need to set a new rule in the NFL that whenever a new gm is hired, they have to rebuild the entire team from scratch.

I'm pretty sure it's because we abandoned a sustatained level of success (which is why we were picking in the top-10 so often) for a dark and seedy future with evil Dave.

An NFL GM builds a roster of 53 players, not 8.

Hurney's 53 man rosters got us 3 playoff appearances in 11 years. Gettleman has matched that, including the Super Bowl, in his first 3 seasons.

Another winning season this year and we'll have our first back to back years plus he'll surpass Hurney's playoff tally with 7 years left to go.

Any argument that Hurney was a better GM is ridiculous to the point of absolute stupidity.
