KB bailed us out a lot yesterday, my credit goes to him, sorry.

That's how it works around here.  No matter what happens, Shula never gets any of the credit but all of the blame.  I could see if these were legitimate arguments about the offensive philosophy.  Or we are calling too much runs for Cam. Or there is not enough focus on the stretch running game since our between the tackle runs aren't very good.  Stuff like that is legitimate.

I mean look at what's going on now, people are talking about Shula getting the play in late.  Not the result of the play but the time.  We score 39 points, people are talking about a flare to the outside to Tolbert.

You are like KB bailed us out.  Some are going to say we only won because of Cam.   One guy talked about there were no checkdowns.  Every play isn't successful.  No offensive coordinator's every play is successful.  I just don't understand what everyone is looking for in Shula.

30 + points a game is 30+ points a game.  We have scored 40+ points more in the last 2 years than we have ...ever.  Of course Cam is a better player and improving, but what else does Shula have to do?  What is the legitimate horrible in excusable thing that Shula is doing?

Lost in the SB..."So how about that Panthers offense"
Denver: "We were surprised they didn't do anything different" "It was all the same"

All I care about at this point until further notice, SB or bust or no reason to care anyway.

At least our other SB team had their plays video taped and illegally scouted and they still almost won.

All the good things that happen on offense is Cam

All the bad things that happen are Shula.

Even when Cam does something wrong, it's because Shula's influence.

Every time Cam does something spectacular he is rescuing us from Shula.

Kind of makes it seem like a religion to me...

The people on the hate Shula bandwagon have never really gotten off, they just didn't have anything they could harp on.  It's pathetic at this point.  Scoring a lot of points shut them up for a while, but they will be back. ..

I think Shula tipped the ball on the second play, causing the interception...

One glimmer of hope is that in the 2nd game vs Denver we didn't do the 10 step drops and went to 5-7 and the pressure wasn't as bad. The problem of course is that we didn't have the foresight to do this in the SB which could have led to a victory.

It takes a good/smart coach to adjust and not duplicate mistakes but a SB winning/caliber coach wouldn't allow that "issue" to happen in the first place and here we are after a loss being the ones to change up what we did instead of self scouting and being ahead of the curve and never allowing the problem to manifest anyway.

    • Yep. It was an obvious red flag that a lot of people ignored. The results/scores in preseason don’t matter, but individual performance very much does and individually, we looked like the least talented team in the league and it carried over.
    • Sorry, but in 2015, we didn’t look like poo to the extent of 2023. People who said it’s just preseason were completely wrong. Simple as that. 2015 was a veteran lead team. It was Cam’s 5th year and Luke’s 4th. Even our OL was 80% the same (added Oher) as the great run to finish 2014 with a playoff win. That year can be labeled as preseason doesn’t matter because I’m sure we rested vets and well, Ron/Mike weren’t putting in special plays, etc. I absolutely don’t recall a bunch of us saying that Turner was getting killed on one on ones or that Luke was completely out of position or that Norman was hurt again but probably fine. The only thing that was right about the 2023 preseason is that the minority of us who saw it, were correct that we A) should have been making Young and others play 100% of the reps as there was nothing to hide and B) the preseason means nothing was a bunch of BS trying to stay optimistic when it was obvious that we had way less good talent than the rest of the NFL.
    • You are telling me Paul Maurice is a better coach than Rod??? Yes!!!  It’s because he plays a better system and has a better goalie.   Our system sucks in playoffs and he refuses to roll with Koochie. Dallas cowboys level poo
