Anyone have a problem with the OT rules?

Heard people talking about how the OT rules are not fair to the team that loses the coin toss, because if they allow a td the game is over... some want the NFL to adopt the college rules.

Me personally, I think that if you want a chance to get the ball back your defense should actually play defense.

No college rule.  If anything maybe give each team to have at least one offensive drive no matter if the team who receives the ball scores on that first drive.  I am not saying I would agree with that, would like to see what the league and players thought... but that starting each team on the 25 like they do in College...no WAY.

A debate as old as the game itself.

College rules are sweet but it's a different game.  Putting an NFL offense on the 25 is putting the defense at a huge disadvantage.

I do agree both teams should touch the ball but if you can't even hold them to a field goal I think you should probably lose anyway.

It looks extra stupid when you have arguably the two best offenses in the league playing for a championship and you don't even let one of the teams even get a chance. Happy the Failcons lost and they shouldnt be blaming anyone but themselves for the game even going to OT, but the rules really favor the teams with the explosive offenses

Pretty sure several Falcon fans have a problem with it right now.

But frankly, so do I.

The obvious and most fair solution, as many have mentioned, is to guarantee each team one possession and then send it to sudden death if it's tied after that.

Even with yesterday's result, a part of me wished the Falcons were given one last offensive possession.

That way, the Falcons could pound that final nail in their own coffin.
