Should the NFL cancel Thursday Night Football

It makes the space between sundays less aggravating.. it's the equivalent to pregaming before hitting the bar.. speaking of hitting the bar it's a reason to drag some lady friend to a sports bar on a Thursday night to get drunk watch the start of your fantasy match up before taking her back to your home and smashing the guts.. in other words Thursday night football is simply wonderful..:)

Lol "good defense" good god

Whatever. I enjoyed the game and I'm sure Texans and Clemson fans got a kick out of seeing Watson get his first start. There was a lot of good things going on with Watt and Geno Atkins on each defense too. It's not my fault if you can't appreciate all the good individual match ups instead of just being one of the sheeple who only want to watch the  overhyped games from bigger markets.

Only way Thursday night games disappear is if nobody watches them. And, for all of the  complaints about Thursday night football in this thread and on messageboards everywhere, they still get a lot of views.

Personally, I think they should have 2-3 byes a season for each team, make it easy to set up a bye before every Thursday game.  Think they should  also have 18 game schedules with only 2 preseason games. If they're going to charge you full price for the tickets, might as well be real games. You could have a couple of inter-squad scrimmages instead of preseason dreck.

2-3 byes and 18 games means an extra month of regular season football.

Probably.  And also go back to just one game on Monday night.

They only do the 2 games on one night on the first night. It's the pageantry, the glitz and glamor, it is getting the season off with a bang. Then it's back to the same ol drudgery of one game between two teams that I could care less about.

Unless it's this Monday. Got my Lions vs the Giants. But for the most part, most folks can't stay awake long enough to finish a Monday night game. Or a Thurs. night game for that matter.
