At this point you want to get the biggest name you can reasonably get your hands on, make a big kerfuffle about how you plan to plug and play him, and hope teams fall for it just enough to key on him a bit during the games. Throw an important ball to him once or twice a game and they have to.

Step one would be to actually hit Dickson with a pass when he somehow manages to get wide open.

Step two would be to start giving Manhertz some time in the game to see what we have there, what potential might be there.

Step three would be to start praying that its only six weeks.

We need a tight end, not a big slot reciever.  Graham can catch and run routes, but is piss poor blocking, and if he can't do that, then he's of no use to the structure of this team.

I dont see the receivers or tight end being the problem at this point.  Not a tape watching expert but I saw Ed Dickson catch the catchable ball thrown his way.  So did Funchess.  Jimmy Graham will not stop the overthrow or help shula game plan or help the o line block better.

The Jimmy Graham trade was the beginning of the end for Seattle. Pretty funny looking back at all the talk at the time of the acquisition about how the Seahawks were going to dominate for years.

I would much rather see us trade for Richard Rodgers of the packers. 

He's not getting any touches due to Bennett but would instantly be an upgrade to Dickson

on a side note, the panthers were in talks with the packers about trading for him this offseason but it never materialized due to the asking price from Green Bay.
