Hey there...

Hey there, how are you? If you haven't heard, the Panthers laid an egg today.

If you are a new Panthers fan, they do it every single year. Even their Superbowl year in Atlanta.

So, things are not great. Far from it.

However, we are 2-1 in a long NFL season and it is very possible the Panthers can improve and become a playoff caliber team.

Here on the Huddle we take 24 hours to lick our wounds. Come Tuesday, we will be focused on defeating New England. As crazy as that sounds right now, it could very well happen.

Now here is a topcat picture to help make you feel better.

Love,

This feels different.  The moronic decision to play Cam at the end of last year, at best, didn't help, and at worst, f*cked Cam for this year as well.  We can rebound, yes, but Championship teams usually don't lose (much less get throttled) at home to teams as putrid as this Saints team with so many out.

The Panthers, and football in general with these insane protests to already sinking ratings, combined with declining youth participation and CTE, is circling the toilet bowl.

So? How much longer can we count on having teh NFL before it is flushed? Sounds like it is inevitable at this point. If it is circling, that must mean the end is nigh.

    • Ohio State no. 8 won it all last year.  No. 6 Penn State and no. 7 Notre Dame advanced to the semi-final. This year no. 7 Ole Miss is going to win it all.
    • agreed.  Lack of games/opportunity makes him a non-factor in OROTY talk.  He is just now getting the stage where there is legit film on him.  Takes awhile to really see how guys react to all the different scenarios and to find the real weak spots on a QB's play in an O.
    • Oh boy how the tables have turned...the passion and extent at which you defend Shough would make even the staunchest Bryce fanboys blush.  The bold part is especially straight from their playbook.  Even if someone here were to withhold giving Shough props, it's pretty understandable as a Panthers fan.  What's quite odd is becoming the biggest stan of our most hated rival's starting QB.  I don't think even Saints fans drool over him this hard. For the record I think this talk about "stans" and "fanboys" is cringe AF and I'm admittedly being rather hyperbolic because this is exactly the kind of discourse and language you personally love to engage in and it's fun to play in the mud from time to time.  There is absolutely no world where you do not meet your own criteria of a "Super Stan" for Shough with how loosely you apply that label to people for Bryce in here.  You're like the Final Boss of Super Stans.
