We win but man JR or somebody needs to have a word with Ron and the coaches about this scared mentality letting teams get back into the game. We did it last week against BRADY of all people and now we do it this week as well. PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. Playing to not lose gets you in trouble and WILL cost us a game at some point if this continues.

We win in spite of this coaching staff. Rivera's stupid behind will be here forever.

The coaches need to stop worrying about whatever they're worried about. i guess it's the perceived disrespect of possibly "running up the score" and being unsportsmanlike....which is virtuous i suppose. I'd rather put a team away and be able to rest starters

i think you're giving their reasoning way too much credit

This game should have been capped on that drive where Cam got sacked and Gano missed 54 yard FG......Coaches on this team need to learn how to use situations to finish teams. When your offense is red hot why not let them keep rolling??....They play like they're afraid of making mistakes when they have a lead. Super Bowl caliber teams FINISH off teams......I get using the clock to your advantage. But we had no push up front in run game. This game should have never been this close, and instead of leaving feeling like you had a complete game as a team, they end up leaving saying, "whew,  we almost blew it"......This team will never have a Super Bowl offense until coaches have confidence they can finish teams......Just no excuse for shell coaches went into.

This has been a trend for almost all of the panthers history. I think it's something that JR looks for. Fox and Rivera aren't all that different. JR want's his team run a certain way and he puts his ego over results

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
