Deep threat WR on the trading block

He's just as inconsistent as Ginn was here, if not more inconsistent. Not as fast either. Solid tracking skills and catch radius, yes. But not really a burner. Samuel is our deep threat. Give him time. Anything more than a 5th for Bryant would be retarded.

His biggest inconsistency is behavior

Samuel wasn’t even a real deep threat in college.  He really needs McCaffrey’s routes.

He has better hands than Ginn but neither have great hands.  He has much better size than Ginn.

At Clemson he had the best physical skill set out of Hopkins and Watkins.  Was just super raw.  His speed and size combo is what people envy.

Too much baggage, not going to happen.  Plus he wants to get the ball which is why he wants to be traded.  Who would you take the snaps from?

We don’t have anyone to run vertical routes.....so he wouldn’t be stealing them

Samuel is a deep threat based on what evidence? He wasn’t deep threat at OSU and he hasn’t proven a single thing yet in the pros

And you said Funchess is better than Bryant, how exactly? Funchess has never even cracked the 500 yard marker yet.

Would love, but will never happen.  Also, can't trade anything of substance for a guy one drug test away from the Josh Gordon treatment.  5th round max.

Would rather trade for OL help, anyway.  We have good targets, with Samuel not yet producing and Olsen being out...weapons haven't been the issue.  OL & Secondary help are much higher needs.

The Josh Gordon black ball with another positive test hanging over his head makes him virtually untradeable. Can't imagine anyone offering more than a late rounder and can't imagine the Steelers dealing him for that. He might as well suck it up and make the best of his current situation because his actions virtually ensure he isn't going anywhere.
