Who starts at WR2 now?

Sheppard. I picked him up in Fantasy as my flex mainstay, Blount, just got hit with a hammer. I think Samuel likely gets more snaps but overall I haven't seen anything to suggest he is ready to start.

While I agree with the premise that we need more speed on offense, I don't think that the middle of the season in which we are one game out of first place, and currently in wild card position is the time to do it; especially when we get no return.

Samuel is in no way ready to be a starting WR.   Put that on him....actually hurts him IMO.  He is a project WR.  He can currently can and should be used situationally.  Largely in CMCs role when CMC isn't doing it.

if the o-line does their job

Ok but they haven’t been and there’s no magical talent switch to switch on to have them start. Our OL is our OL and this offense depended on players like KB making plays with Cam when the play had broken down

It sure seems like there's a magical talent switch the way that they fluctuate week to week. I think the line did a decent job in pass protection against the Bucs, which is a fairly stout d-line. But then they completely shat the bed against the Bears. They never have an okay game, it's either a good game or a god-awful game.

I’ve talked myself into believing that we should start Samuel at WR2 on the outside.

Im thinking that Ron quote about wanting to simplify things for him is related to using him too much as a gadget player with all the options and reverses and poo. Stick him on the outside and let him concentrate on running routes and being a WR so he can find some rhythm. Add the other stuff in once he gets comfortable.

I have no clue if any of that is true but it’s what I’m choosing to believe.

    • To the last part. Evero sucks at generating pressure unless he’s going up against a beat up OL like the Jets. However.. he does do a good job of having the DL/LBs contain. Hes even mentioned that’s part of the reason that they struggle to rush the QBs because he doesn’t want guys moving out of containment.
    • If there was ever a game to get behind that offensive line and the run the rock with Rico it's this game.   Only one team has been worst than Buffalo at stopping the run this season and that's Miami and we saw what happened in that game with Dowdle. Buffalo of course has one of the most dynamic offenses so the more time we can keep that offense off the field the better sustaining drives will be crucial. Atlanta had their way with Buffalo in their last game that scire could have easily been 28-7 at the half. With that said with an improved vertical passing attack and emphasis on the run game Carolina pulls the upset 24-17
    • This sounds just like a lot of Panthers fan during Bryce's rookie year
