Cam Coming Up On SVP

SVP loves him some Cam. A whole lot of talking heads love them some Cam. I have sports on most of the day. And Cam gets him a whole lotta love. It is the Panthers that get the heat.

At the beginning of the year when they did talk of the Panthers, the talk was, that Cam needed him some weapons. But the last few weeks, as we have been winning, the talk has turned into the Panthers are a team to fear.

Analysts love them some Defense. And a Defense with a QB is always worth talking about. We have a Defense. And we have us some Cam. A lot of the talking heads love Cam. Yeah, you read that right.

We have Luke, and a top flight Defense, and they get their props. We have Cam, and an improving Offense, and they get their props. All we have to do is continue to win. Everything else will work out.

Was a bad interview.

You could tell Cam wanted to talk about those kids, and not an injury or football....SVP didn't pick up on it.

Cam needs a press release:  "I don't want to talk about football to you guys...if you will ask me about anything other than what will get me in trouble, I'm more than happy to speak at length with all of you.  Thank You."

This can’t be the huddlers tell me he is hated and discriminated against at every opportunity and must prove haters and doubters wrong...it’s us a Cam vs. the world.

Also it was not the weapons that made the Panthers better, they helped, but it was mostly changing up the scheme.

SVP isn’t just a media guy to Cam tho, tad deeper than that. They’re both Under Armour Guys.

    • I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them. As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.
    • IMO, if Ceedee plays against us, the game probably goes the other way. Same with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins. Our team just isn't designed to beat teams with two high level receivers like that. But when you look at the league, how many teams really have two guys of that caliber?  There's nothing wrong with defensive adjustments, but sometimes I think a lot of fans want Evero to call a different play like a game on madden, and defensive football just isn't like that. That said, I thought we did a much better job this season against the Cowboys of flipping Jaycee and at least making them work for it, opposed to last season when they literally just lined CeeDee up on the other side of the field every single snap.  For us to just straight up switch to consistent man coverage, or a different zone, or whatever, we likely would consistently need different personnel on the field. Doing it a few times a game is a gamble and can work, but if we consistently run man coverage against the Cowboys, eventually a RB is going to beat a linebacker, or something of that nature with our personnel. Part of the reason Evero likes this scheme is that, while we have our defaults and presets, what we do is very multiple, and you can do a lot of different things pre and post snap. We are a challenging defense to read. But as you said, if guys are getting beat, it doesn't really matter what you call.
