If Cams thumb is and issue, whats the game plan for Sunday

Obviously Cam was not throwing with timing or velocity against the Jets. What I have been reading,, it takes a month to recover from the injury. What should the game plan be for N.O.? Brees is still top notch and this will not be an easy game without the Panther offensive showing up. Game plan please...

IMO, we need to do on Defense, what the Rams showed us last weekend. Slow the run, defend the pass, and rush the QB. Sounds easy enough.

Now, on Offense? Just do what we normally try to do. Play error free, have success running the ball, and complete enough passes to score TDs. Again, sounds easy.

Not going to lie. This game has Playoff implications. Not the best time to be searching for Offense.

A month to recover from what injury? The one someone guesses he has?

Cam has banged his hand up countless times hitting helmets.  Never before have we viewed as a month long injury.  Nothing from the team indicating it

I predict he will be just fine.  Slinging heat indoors.  He has another week of healing and won’t have the cold impacting him.

Panthers still remain a running O regardless.

Think he’s had a brain injury for a long time. What a bad attitude!!!

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
