This is what I wanted to hear.

they should be. they were flat out abused. turned themselves into door mats.

they aren't the only ones who should be embarrassed. a few people on offense should be as well the last couple weeks, including the guy calling the shots.

i hope last week was a turning point. they;ve got a tough road ahead. they need to be tougher.

a lot of "what-ifs" from the saints game

what if Shaq makes the tackle on the Saints opening 4th and goal play?

what if Worley picks off that pass?

what if Ingram is properly flagged for false start on his 70+ yard rush?

what if the encroachment penalty is called?

A lot of flukey plays from last game resulted in what felt like a blowout.

The guys should be pissed. Hopefully that game wakes up what is supposed to be one of the best defenses in the league.

it was as near to a playoff game as you could get, they spent all week hearing how they didn't belong on the field with the opponent, and then they came out and demonstrated that they didn't care at all

if Sunday isn't one of the most intense and dominant defensive performances we've seen from the unit then it's time to just burn it down

Hard to blame 12 missed tackles on coaches.

Agreed, however Wilks took immediate accountability for those missed tackles himself and vowed that he would work to get better. Never heard Rivera hold himself accountable like Wilks has a lot this year.

What if Pep didnt manhandle the dude out of bounds on 4th down?

What if Palardy didnt have butterfingers?

Even Luke made himself look like the playoff game vs. San Fran. He got flustered early and that directly effected the defense.

They just need to settle down.

    • in starts, he has played better, been more efficient and outproduced Bryce by virtually every statistical metric that exists in 2025.  And has the 2 head to heads over Carolina.  I mean, your jaw should hit the floor.  But not for the reason you are implying.  That freaking stings.  Denying these realities isn't going to help the Panthers build a better team going forward.
    • He is basically having a polar opposite rookie season than Bryce. 4-3 as a starter on a very bad team.  68% for 237 passing yards and 19 rush per game. 9 TDs,  6 TOs in his starts.  and folks acknowledge the surprisingly play because no one thought poo of the random 2nd rounder and he is player better as a rookie thus far than so many prized picks did as a rookies (not just Bryce but a boatload of dudes).   It's only a sour issue to give someone props because he is a Saint and of course the Bryce thing.  It's like giving the TE in Clev props for having near identical production as the chosen one Tyler Warren.  Fannin is having a great rookie season in a very bad spot.
    • This is a very weird take. The reason Shough doesn't deserve it is because he's only started 7 games. He's doing crazy well for a rookie and out playing plenty of vets with a worse roster. He's waaay above league average in a number of categories during his starts and he passes the eye test in game by making plays. Meanwhile Bryce Young had one of the worst rookie seasons of all time. Still TMac deserves it more. It's only been 7 games for Shough so he doesn't deserve any awards. Even if he gets to 9 he doesn't.
