Bridgewater is what stunted that offense.  He's an atrocious QB that can't do a damn thing but make short checkdowns.

I do imagine though, that the same few Huddlers who blame everything on the coaches will call for his and Ron's head at some point next year.  Maybe if they are really patient, after the second loss instead of first.

I don't think Bridgewater is that bad, what he had though was AP who only thrives in a single back power game that Bridgewater doesn't do.  When Bridgewater did well, he was in the shotgun and allowed to see the field, but Peterson started to look shitty, so the Vikings were forced to put Bridgewater under center to help Peterson which made him look worse and Peterson look better.

Norv coached this and is better at chuds air Coryell system that cam is used to.  Tweak it with cams strengths and you'll see cam explode.  Norv is what norv is, but we can be much better than what we were with shula.  I have hope again, and that's all I've ever asked.

Norv Turner about to take us back to ‘85, right where Rivera wants us to be. He’s even LESS creative than Shula. His system is an archaic ancient civilization artifact while every other team is looking to revolutionize their offenses with the McVays, Shanahans, and new minds in the league.

Ron basically confirmed it as well.

Why does this staff suck so much.

Rivera may find himself on the street next year if this fails. And from Norv’s past schemes and clear deficiences (last top 15 offense from him? 2011 Chargers, and really the only one) I don’t want to see what will happen.

I’m not judging Norv based on Teddy who is trash

Yea like I said I'm Lukewarm.

Ideally I would rather have a younger offensive guy but...i unno...Norv doesn't suck and I did say even an AVG OC is an upgrade over Shula so....i unno

Rivera's comments seem to indicate he wants an older guy.

I don’t know what to think of this hire.

A lot of people say Norv’s system is outdated and point to his failure in Minnesota. But Norv and Teddy where never a good fit, Norv likes to throw it down field a ton and that’s Teddy’s biggest weakness.

I remember the Browns led the nfl in pass attempts that one season with Norv as OC and he the Chargers always had a potent offense. So let’s see what happens

Norv sucked with Bradford too who is perfectly fit for his offense before quitting in shame 7 games into the season.

You can’t really use his time in Minnesota has a fair gauge for what to expect from Norv. He had a quarterback in Bridgewater who didn’t really fit his system, and had a running back that also didn’t fit the system.

Norv excels with a power back and all purpose back combo as well as a tight end that is a threat downfield. He also likes taller receivers, so Funchess should fit in quite well, but I expect another taller receiver to be brought in... but one that is more athletic than Benjamin was. Most likely we’ll bring somebody who is 6’2” or 6’3” and fairly athletic.

So we actually have the pieces to thrive under Norv.
