Wilks did take one offensive coach with him (Ray Brown). No Shula. No Dorsey. Neither of them even got interviews.

McDermott took nobody at all, they will cording to one article I read he did ask for permission to interview Al Holcomb for his DC spot. The Panthers said no.

None of the coaches Wilks interviewed were under contract, so the Panthers couldn't block them.

Didn’t DeFilippo interview for that same HC job that would be kind of odd I would imagine.

I know if it was me I wouldn’t want to be working for the guy that got the job over me, even if it was a promotion.

Wilks said he wanted his staff in place before the Super Bowl. I honestly couldn't tell you the rationale behind that, but that's what he said he wants.

As to DeFilippo, his contract runs out after the Super Bowl. The Eagles certainly want him back but he's free to pursue other offers.
