Lawsuit: Ex-employee claims Texans ignored sexual harassment complaints

http://www.khou.com/sports/nfl/texans/former-texans-employee-claims-negligence-sues-organization-ex-colleague/514007099

"According to the lawsuit, the Texans and former football operations manager Jason Lowrey “fostere(ed) an Alpha-Male environment, where continuous improprieties toward female employees were not punished. In fact, they were rewarded.”

The NFL should investigate that is if they dont want the inmates running the prison

I suspect this is just the beginning.

Similar to the Nassar situation, it takes time before victims feel comfortable coming out but eventually the flood gates will open (and no I'm not comparing sexual assault to sexual misconduct, I'm comparing how victims respond).

I could see this potentially affecting all major league sports in the near future.

This potentially complicates things for Jerry Richardson.

The NFL is not going to want to look bad or appear that they're taking these things lightly.

Yeah and if they hire Hurney... It's going to look not only like he is a sex offender but a racist too.

Your point is? How many Hollywood types embroiled in scandal have we seen lately? Politicians from all over the country. Sexual harrassment happens in all walks of life in all parts of the country, and is equally atrocious no matter where the prep is from, right?

I hope all the guilty people get exposed, but some good people are getting caught up in this poo too. A good buddy of mine recently had to spend thousands to defend himself against false claims even though he had proof that he wasn't even in the same state as his accuser at the time of the accusation.

Guilty until proven innocent. As a long time  criminal defense attorney, I hate that this is often the case.

    • It's just a talking head.  Talking about gambling. If anybody takes the under on 4.5 wins, they're most likely losing their money.   So he's only saying if you want to bet on a possible sleeper, take the over.  It's not rocket science.  Pathetic that so many on the huddle have reduced themselves to posting purely trash every time they hit the submit button.
    • I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario.  Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless.  ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team.  The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
    • We screwed up a couple years ago taking Bryce in the first place.  Nobody held a gun to our head to jump from #9 to #1.  Most people who keep up with draft news knew this 2024 QB class was loaded and we should have waited, which I advocated. It was a dumb move and I knew it.  Now we have to roll with Bryce another year.  That's fine, because this 2025 class isn't that great.  I like Ewers, but not super high on him.  If Bryce shows improvement, which I think he will, that should get him at least one more season before we have to decide on if he's the permanent answer or not.  I've said before, the 2026 draft is the next window for a franchise QB if Bryce isn't the answer. Bryce gets this year and next at a minimum.
