Hopefully we get serious. 

The Eagles model has been to stock up heavily on the D-line. Adding Ayers will make ours incredibly stacked and deadly. Doesn't matter who's in the secondary when the o-line can't sustain the QB from an onslaught.

He's 32 so wouldn't help with the youth movement and has only played in 12 games each of the past 4 years. However, with Pep only being rotational I think this would be a huge boost if they could sub in and out for each other.

That is just flat out not true. The secondary can only be so putrid and let's not get that carried away with our DL.

I don't care. The guy had 2 sacks last year. He hasn't played more than 12 games in a season since 2013. Let someone else have him. I don't want to waste any of our meager cap space on a player like this at a position that isn't of desperate need when we absolutely DO have positions of desperate need.

Agree. I'd rather give reps to a young guy who has potential to help us in the future.

This. We need to get younger at DE. We are old enough as is.

The Bucs had one of the worst pass rushes in the league last year. The fact that they cut this guy doesn't make him seem like much of an upgrade over anyone we already have.
