Makes sense for many reasons RR doesn't trust Rooks that much he'll feel comfortable with a vet starting the year teaching the Rook for a few weeks until he's ready and for insurance who's our backup or starting FS?? Draft pick(Bates/Reid) with Reid and MA/DS at strong that's a solid backend for a rough 16 game season.

I know it won’t happen, because frankly, I don’t think we have the funds, but if true, I appreciate the Panthers for making an attempt at getting better. Bringing in a player who will clearly help us.

Seems like Reid has just about gotten himself blackballed Kaepernick style. Not sure it's going to take big money.
