Regular Season Schedule

If the past couple of years is any indicator, the regular season schedule should be out this week (most likely Thursday evening)

home opponents:  falcons, Bucs, saints, cowboys, giants, ravens, bengals, Seahawks.

Away opponents:  falcons, Bucs, saints, washingon, eagles, Steelers, browns and lions.

Who do you think we open with?

Who do you want to open with?

Who will we play in prime time?

Which division opponent will we close the season with?

I think we open on the road in Detroit (though I’d rather open at home against Seattle). I think we get the cowboys on SNF at home, at the saints on Thursday night football, and at Washington on a Monday night.  We will close the season in Tampa.

strangely at home against giants or bungals. However, they could feed us to the eagles opening night. our first game of the season is the sign of the season the direction is going to go. We need that freebie. Schedule this year won't be a freebie. I doubt we open against Cleveland, they'll probably feed them to pittsburgh again. If the league wants to inflate your schedule early, they give u easy opponents.

I'm paying close attention to this for a possible @RoaringRiot trip and then which games I'll be able to drive/fly to. Almost surely will be going to Eagles game. Redskins likely as well. Possibly others depending on dates. I really hope we have a thanksgiving game this year too.

It would be nice to get a home opener for once. The league has been fuging us with these away games to start seasons in recent years.  Especially considering historically for us, winning the first game or 2  is often a huge predictor of season success.

I thought schedule didn't come out till after the draft? I might be wrong and if NFL starts us on the road again we as fans need to start a riot and ask why WTH!!!

Nope...schedule is usually released just BEFORE the draft.

    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
    • Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
