Browns take 2 QBs?

I don't think they would do it but if they did how would it mess up the draft for everyone.  Seems players we are targeting would rise up the board.

I could see them taking Barkley 1st and whoever remains standing at QB.

I don’t see this ever happening but it is the Browns we’re talking about

I thinks it’s more probable that Cleveland is floating this rumor on purpose so that they get a desperate team to trade up to pick #4. Especially since some teams feel the top tier of QBs consists of 4 guys.

I think this is a terrible idea if they are thinking of using both #1 and #4 on QBs. In that regard, you automatically lose one impact player, as only one QB can be on the field at the same time. They could easily get a QB and another potentially high impact guy (Barkley, Chubb, Fitzpatrick, etc.). Now, if they are talking using either #1 or #4 plus a second or third round pick, that would potentially make more sense.

Would be pretty stupid tbh. Shows a complete lack of scouting. I could see a cluster fug. They'd be switching back and forth never settling on one guy. The QB room would breed tension and a lack of faith in either QB. They need to figure out who their guy is. Draft him #1, then take Barkley at #4.

I am in Cleveland for a week (about 50 miles below it)--I have spoken to some Browns fans.  People, these fans are something else.  I felt like the new member of the platoon joining a group of soldiers who have seen everything war has to offer.  They feel that Josh Allen is a mistake.  They want Darnold at #1 or Mayfield at #4.

One compared this draft to the Richardson/Manziel draft.  I told him that Farmer is no longer the Browns GM--but he added that the owner is the problem.  I replied, "no, your last owner was the problem (Modell)."

Imagine having the cap room and the free agents they have coming in, the draft picks, and still feeling nearly hopeless.  I asked everyone what they hoped for--All said between 4 and 6 wins.  One crackhead said 9 wins is a lock.

I think they will win 6 to 7.  For this place, that might  be enough to restore faith.  The fan base has been taken off life support, and with the Indians and Cavs, the Browns are easy to forget.  I want them to have a great draft and play well.

I read this yesterday... and i can honestly say I would not blame the browns if they did it.  They have been whiffing on quarterbacks for years. Bring in two guys to compete and trade the left over.

actually a good idea. They have plenty of picks, and this would ensure them plenty next year as well.

hypothetically, would you take a deal from for CAM if the Browns if gave us:

2018 2x 1st picks

2019 1st pick

2020 1st pick

And their pro bowl Guard Joel Bitonio

Why would you trade a Pro-Bowl QB in the prime of his career?

    • This season only ends one way... We win this Sunday. Bryce is decent. We take back 1st place...   Only to then get our brakes blown off in the last two weeks.
    • Here's one of the most maddening things, that will be shown in full light over the next three weeks. The same people around here that called Darnold a bum and Mayfield a washed up over draft are also the ones saying Bryce is a catastrophe. Yeah, and I've been one who said Bryce wasn't big enough, brave enough or capable enough. I said back in the day that Darnold had a lot of fight in him and got shouted down. And on Mayfield, heck I didn't know, I just knew we had a very, very bad team that was run terribly. But I saw both of those guys go out there and resurrect their careers and be play-off bound since shaking the Carolina clay dust off their cleats. And we sat there and cat called their cars as they pulled out of the parking lot, laughing at what nobodies they were. Over the next three weeks, those two guys may just serve us sh!t sandwiches and then settle down to their just desserts. And then we'll probably let Bryce go off into the realm of other teams. And when that happens, will we see him coming back, better than before and we're left to re-sit this cycle all over again? Same naysayers, same results, same revolving carousel of ponies and pundits?  Will we end up looking like the Temu version of the San Diego Chargers back in the day watching Drew Brees come to fruition in the previously moribund Superdome while we whiff on a Manning pick just to be jilted for Phillip "Always a Bridesmaid" Rivers?
