Marquis Haynes can be our Yannick Ngakoue (or Robert Mathis-lite)

I do find it interesting that everyone is literally writing off Hall. Haynes is 6’3” 235 and Hall is 6’5” 266 and Hall had a better Vert, 3 cone and short shuttle (same broad jump). Haynes had a 4.67 and Hall a 4.76, at 31 pounds heavier. I think people forget how athletic Hall was because Hurney IR’d him right away. Maybe I’m in the minority that is really looking forward to seeing him after a year of NFL strength training.

I personally never wrote off Hall, we have yet to even see him play a down so i hope the redshirt year has prepared him to come in and contribute this year as well. That will make us even better.

Haynes will be used as a Joker in sub packages...as a situational pass rusher.  Sometimes with his hand in the dirt and sometimes standing up from a lb position.  He has a ridiculous first step...great speed..a nose for the ball...and a mean attitude.  Exactly what it takes for that role.

Between Haynes and Hall, we should have speed off the edge to create pressure....which is critical in playing against Brees and Ryan.  If you can’t get to them, they kill us.  Speed rush is what we lacked and needed....and hopefully now have.

Yeah, his first step is one of quickest that I have ever seen off the snap. The first step dictates most times whether or not a football player gets to the QB, there is no doubt with Haynes.

Says the person who thinks a 230 lb DE is going to be the next Robert Mathis. I bet you wanted to give Ryan Delaire that one more chance huh?

You're tripping IMO for one simple fact this young man just came out the SEC and wreaked havoc breaking Hardys numbers and Hardy was on his way to a stellar career. Anybody handling Jax starting tackle and others with bull rushes combined with that speed means production you're talking bout Delaire outta Townsend no comparison my man

We don't really have room for situational pash rushers. Pepp and Addison are situational pass rushers. We need guys that can get hard on first down. This guy would make more sense if we had a younger Charles Johnson or Greg Hardy in the mix.

We have that already Addison/Horton/Hall are younger Charles J, Horton in limited action got 5.5 sacks playing 36% of the snaps. He's in a contract year call it money motivation lol but seriously he's stepped his game up so much I'm ready to see what more snaps equals. That's not looking for unproven potential I'm just looking for his upward trend to continue and the results should show.

Therefore with all that said we need a pass rush specialist now extra sub packages insurance in case our One situational pass rusher suffers any injury can you imagine what this young bull can learn from Pep and Addy we're in a dam good position with a nasty D Line group being Poe is also a pass rushing DT (Insert Gif of Matty Ice shittn himself)

Whew what Marquis Haynes did to Alex Cappa on a pass rush rep. Marquis Haynes moves up the list of 'watch soon'

Bucs drafted that cappa guy :D

Alex Cappa is a small-school OG.

An undersized, quick pass rusher schooled an OG on the edge?

Shocking.

Not this guy.

I expect Hall to be a regular part of the rotation in 2018.

Haynes will likely be nigh invisible.

This. Good to have such lively discussion about Haynes but Hall is the one with the opportunity to shoot past Horton and get important snaps. If Hall’s moveset and power further along with his already strong bend,  first step quickness and athleticism, he could be a top guy. He’s what Preston Smith or Matt Judson would look like in a 4-3.

Alabama dropped 66 on them, LSU dropped 40, Aurburn Dropped 44, and Arkansas dropped 33. I know it's a team sport but let's be realistic with the fact it will be a win if the kid is on STs.
