Tepper speaks at Carnegie Mellon

Really enjoyed listening. Seems to be genuinely excited and honored by the opportunity to own the team. The raw emotion of the speech was a refreshing thing to see. He certainly hasn't forgotten where he came from. We could have done much worse.

He’s growing on me that’s for sure. I really appreciated his honesty and candidness regarding Trump. It’s refreshing.  Hopefully, a new age, progressive owner like Tepper will trim some of the fat off this fan base.

He's hardly progressive or new age at all. More like John McCain or the Bush family than any progressives. And he's going to run this franchise very very old school like the Steelers have for 50 years--which isn't a bad thing, as long as he can do it right and not screw it up like JR did. Yet to be seen whether he succeeds though. I'm rooting for him.

Yea, I like him. I like that even as a man with a great deal of power, he’s still about doing the right thing. He also seems to be an honest man, and in today’s climate, doing the right thing and honesty aren’t valued as much. You’ve got people who are in higher positions of power than him lying, and not doing the right thing.

Please don’t be like JR, Mr Tepper. I wanted Rubin, but I’m ready to give our new owner a chance. Just keep being honest, and don’t play us as idiots. Great speech!

    • Ehhhh except a lot of it was his refusal in college not to play hero ball.....  The two things he greatly improved at the NFL level were his accuracy on the run and learning he didn't have to take the deep shot every play.   That said when taking a massive boom or bust athlete at QB the most important thing is their work ethic/coachability/desire to improve

    • The new (released today) FOX ONE app will allow you access to watch your Local FOX Station - similar to how the Paramount Plus app allows you access to watch your local CBS station It'll cost you $20/month for the privilege, but if you're having trouble accessing the over-the-air antenna for FOX, this could be an option to consider the new ESPN app will give you access to ESPN content, but not to the local ABC affiliate. A reminder: if you currently get ESPN via some TV provider (cable, satellite, youtube, etc) then you should be able to use the new ESPN app via your provider login, no additional payment required
