I could see Davis keep playing especially if he continues at a high level while Shaq is mediocre at best. Before I want to hand the reigns to Shaq let's see what he does. So far he has often been a liability in the passing game and his run defense isn't that great either. Davis has played much better than Shaq over the past few years and Shaq has had opportunities but hasn't played well.

It's looking like the vets are really liking the direction and future of this team. I don't think guys like TD and Peppers would be sticking around if our outlook wasn't very bright.

If I'm MH, I have 2 questions...

1) Does him being part of our 53 make us a better team?

2) Does his contract cost represent appropriate value for his projected contribution?

If either of the answers are "no" then it's time to graciously part ways.

Shaq actually has to step up before TD needs to take that 3rd lb role.  Hope it happens, would love to already have TDs replacement on the roster. We’ll see if there is meaningful improvement this year.
