Hypothetical Dez Bryant?

Say one of our key WR's gets injured, would we be interested in signing Dez Bryant now that Jerry Richardson is no longer in charge?

We still need another big WR on the roster. Cam is good friends with Dez and vouched for him on instagram earlier this summer when he got released, so I think he would keep him in check.

We can't afford Dez, it would be nice tho. If you follow his production, when Romo got hurt, that's when it started dropping drastically. Then they got Dak and focus strictly on the run, people say he sucks cuz his #s dropped... GTFO, the dude can flat out ball when given a chance. Only weapon on that team and defenses know it. Dak isn't gonna beat anybody with his arm.

I keep seeing threads about signing people.  We have 1.5 mil in cap space right now.  We aren't signing anyone over league min.

I’d be pissed if we signed Dez...but couldn’t we cut Torrey Smith and instantly free up another $5mill? Now clue what Dez is currently being offered but $6mill might get it done.

Again, I’m not advocating for a washed up Dez Bryant by any means...nor do I think we’d be interested at all

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
