Kalil absent again

Smells like Hurney is trying to trade him and doesn't want to risk Kalil getting hurt.

I would take a box of rocks for him just to get rid of him.

He's about as untradeable as anyone could be.

I doubt a high school team would take him, even if the Panthers covered his salary.

i'm a gettleman nuthugger but that was easily the worst contract he ever gave out.  thankfully there's some hope behind kalil in the shape of williams (assuming he recovers well) and tentatively moton.

I firmly believe if it weren't for Richardson's meddling and the "family" environment, we wouldn't have gone after M. Kalil. Hell, Ryan Kalil probably had enough rapport that he walked into Richardson's office and put in an official request that got the stamp of approval on the spot.

R. Kalil: "Mister, my brother has fallen on hard times and could use a pick-me-up contract to make himself feel better. I've been with this organization my whole adult life and am even a multi-year all-pro. Can you make this happen?"

Richardson: "Say no more."

This situation with Kalil has the potential to suck dry all my enthusiasm about our offense.

At least we have Norv to scheme around it.  And we've got extra blocking and pass pro help in Armah and CJ Anderson...

But an already dicey situation up front has gotten infinitely worse in the past 48 hours with now having to shuffle all the guys on the Oline around just when we might have been beginning to have something gel with

Moton - Turner - Ryan - Van Roten - Matt

When Ron was willing to admit the situation on the O line was somewhat "worrisome" yesterday, that was hugely telling.  Ron is such an optimist.  For him to be worried speaks LOUDLY.

Better now than in the middle of the season. Still time to fix it. Not saying it isn't worrisome, but it's not dire...yet.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
