Sucks to piss away a 3rd rounder but this was the right move. Don't cut better football players because of the draft investment. A bust is a bust. Just move on. You only exacerbate the problem by letting better players walk because you spent a fairly high pick on a worse player.

    Bradberry led all CBs in tackles last year. But I am quite sure you will find a way to spin that into something you can complain about. I mean, c'mon man. Using Eli Apple to dis on Bradberry?

I remember seeing the media and many other people high on Hall before the draft. If I remember correctly he was projected to be a late 1st round pick at one point. If not alreast a second. I remember thinking that I didn’t see what everyone saw in him because he had Myles Garrett and some decent DT around him yet couldn’t produce good numbers.

 

He is only 24 so he is young enough to develop but there is too much talent on our defensive line to keep him.

If he was director of PRO personnel I think it's a stretch to credit him with college scouting.

Gettle wasn’t brought in as a draft master. He was brought in to manage a poo cap fuged it by Hurney and build a team through scouting bragains to be able to field a competitive team with basically zero money to spend. That part of his tenure is what’s impressive. He built a super bowl team doing it, and that’s after losing the #1 receiver for th entire season.

I wasn’t sad to see him go but people reall don’t seem to understand the purpose of bringing him in. I’m also not happy Hurney is back and wish and hope the team starts fresh.
