Wouldn't be too sure. He's a defensive guy through and through.

I know, but we've heard this  before and yet, keep letting the same stuff slide. No player personnel changes are ever made, no examples are ever made ... To me, it's just lip service, but actions speak louder than words.... So, I'm anxious to see what happens.

The D has carried this team for years and I'll give them a pass before jumping on them.  Luke is one of the best tacklers to ever play the game and he was even missing tackles.  I expect you'll see the D line back to its normal dominance next week and for the rest of the season.

This.  How about some receivers who can catch the ball who is not named CMC or Wright?

Does anyone have a snap count yet?

dying to see Butler’s total vs Poe. Maybe it just seemed like Butler was out there a lot because every time there was a big run it was him they were running by.

Lol at bleacher report

Butler freaking sucks.

Yeah idk what the reality is, but I saw a lot of Butler yesterday and was not pleased. I didn’t see much KK or Poe at all. Also saw lots of d line falling on each other or getting bunched up together and out of the play. That group needs a wake up call because they got handled yesterday.

For the next two games I’d rather see one of the rookie LBs in place of Mayo. He just isn’t fast enough.

Luke had a rough game too but I know he’s embarrassed enough to do something about it. The rest, I’m not sure if they have the urgency.

Also interested to see if Gaulden gets more PT. Would love it if he plays an enforcer role for us.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
