Carolina Panthers sign Eric Reid to a one year deal

If Reid really was having concussion issues, the best thing for a player in that situation is extended time away from contact.  He's had that.

I hope it's all behind him, and he comes in and plays at the level he is capable of.  If / when that happens, we will no longer be able to point at our secondary as a weakness.  We'll still be thin, but not weak.

surprised i haven't seen any outrage. we've seen all the indignant whiney-baby people on other teams burning jerseys and crying when stuff happens. so far i've seen 100% positive from panther fans. not sure if impressed or disappointed there's not any drama, which is the thing i live for the most

I was against what I perceived to be a circus and distraction, and a player who’s best years I felt were behind him.

I was shown to be wrong on both accounts (didn’t realize Reid was still so young) and quickly changed my tune and hopped on board.

Cant see any rational Panther fan not being on board with this. We just signed a pro bowl safety for probably cheap and fixed a GLARING issue on our defense.

Win win win win

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27
    • Your intelligence is artificial.
    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
