NFC South Remaining Schedule

Raleigh PF

Recommended Posts

The Saints, in their last 10 games, have their five toughest games at home (Rams, Eagles, Falcons, Steelers, Panthers) and five away (Vikings, Bengals, Cowboys, Bucs, Panthers).

The Panthers likewise have five home (Ravens, Bucs, Seahawks, Saints, Falcons) and five away (Steelers, Lions, Bucs, Browns, Saints).

The Falcons get the short end of the stick, as they have just THREE of their remaining NINE games at home (currently 0-2 on the road). Their three home games are vs. Cowboys, Ravens and Cardinals, whereas their away games are against Redskins, Browns, Saints, Packers, Panthers and Bucs.

This appears to be a setup for the division title coming down to the last game, in New Orleans for the division crown, provided both teams stay the course.

I'm glad the Saints face Dallas with Amari lol but looking at that schedule it's brutal for the Saints still have a hungry Eagles strong Rams Bengals getting hungry with a few losses Dallas fighting for their life the Steelers and Vikings and to face us after the Sweep last year smells like trouble tbh.

Yep. 10-6 could win the division

The Saints easily have the toughest schedule left, especially with Dallas having Cooper now. Atlanta has the easiest with the caveat of road games. They also have the disadvantage of being 2 losses behind us and 3 behind the Saints.

We just need to keep winning and have to win the home games. If we can hold at home then 2-3 on the road (Bucs and Browns) has us in playoffs.

Yeah Dallas is a sleeper team that can light up NO now they have Cooper. We faced them at the right time because Shaun Lee and Cooper should be 100% to face the Falcons.

Sucks that even a few of the Saints away games this year are being played in domes. Brees having to play outside in the cold vs. playing in his precious domes are a world of difference.

Yeah, Brees is 2-0 in his last two games where the game temperature was below freezing. Also having the #1 rush defense in the league that travels very well helps. You’re going to need a better excuse.

I love hating on the Saints but I just checked Drew Brees stats this season.    WTF.

We’re really taking care of the ball uncharacteristically well this year. It’s crazy even for us Saints fans to take in.

He’s currently on pace for career high (and some NFL record) numbers in completion percentage, yards/attempt, adjusted yards/attempt, passer rating, QBR, game winning drives and 4th quarter comebacks. The last two thanks to our shaky secondary.

In addition to career lows in interceptions, TD/INT rate, and interception rate.

We’re running lots of high percentage passing plays, he’s not forcing many throws as he often has in years past. All on top of pounding the rock and bullying teams in time of possession (trying to keep our defense off the field and well rested).

Our offense is currently 1st in time per drive and plays per drive and are 3rd in yards/drive and 2nd in points/drive. Our defense is currently 19th, 25th, 28th, and 29th in those same categories hence why we’re trying to keep them on the sideline with prolonged offensive drives.

    • This season only ends one way... We win this Sunday. Bryce is decent. We take back 1st place...   Only to then get our brakes blown off in the last two weeks.
    • Here's one of the most maddening things, that will be shown in full light over the next three weeks. The same people around here that called Darnold a bum and Mayfield a washed up over draft are also the ones saying Bryce is a catastrophe. Yeah, and I've been one who said Bryce wasn't big enough, brave enough or capable enough. I said back in the day that Darnold had a lot of fight in him and got shouted down. And on Mayfield, heck I didn't know, I just knew we had a very, very bad team that was run terribly. But I saw both of those guys go out there and resurrect their careers and be play-off bound since shaking the Carolina clay dust off their cleats. And we sat there and cat called their cars as they pulled out of the parking lot, laughing at what nobodies they were. Over the next three weeks, those two guys may just serve us sh!t sandwiches and then settle down to their just desserts. And then we'll probably let Bryce go off into the realm of other teams. And when that happens, will we see him coming back, better than before and we're left to re-sit this cycle all over again? Same naysayers, same results, same revolving carousel of ponies and pundits?  Will we end up looking like the Temu version of the San Diego Chargers back in the day watching Drew Brees come to fruition in the previously moribund Superdome while we whiff on a Manning pick just to be jilted for Phillip "Always a Bridesmaid" Rivers?
