Look I KNOW we have to get younger but he definitely still plays at a high level and will be cheap. We have too many holes to fill everything this offseason and can play the vet one year role like the patriots, Steelers etc have every year it seems. His leadership alone could be worth it for a D that will obviously get younger.

Sign him to a 1 X $3M. You won’t find depth better than that on the open market.

It's a no brainer. You sign him. Let Shaq walk. Spend the millions in saved in cap space to address the DL or sign a safety. It's not emotional, it's just smart.
