"Speaking of long-held affections, the Panthers’ love for local kid Will Grier was well-documented. How much did they love him? I’m told he was the third-ranked quarterback on Carolina’s board, behind only Lock and Haskins."

All that matters is the one time Hurney needed to hit the mark at QB he did and we got Cam and hopefully this guy wont need to start anytime soon.

Yep! Cam was most certainly a bigger risk with bigger stakes.

I also think that the Turner effect is larger than many realize, and that's  probably a good thing. They know a little more than Hurney does about quarterbacks.

Y'all make so much fuss about a backup QB. I like the kid and cant wait to see what he can give us. Not gonna stress over our backup QB though. Hopefully if given a chance he shows enough for a team to trade a high draft pick for him. You never know.

Norv does. I'm not convinced on Scott yet.

I'm not either, but, I'm willing to roll with the experiment.  If Norv gives us a few years with Scott around, and we then give Scott a couple years, maybe we end up with the next Norv.  If not, we replace Scott with someone else.  It gives us Norv, and Cam has needed that kind of help since Chud left.

    • Man it’s not even about losing to the Panthers again, it’s how they are losing that makes me think a coaching change is needed. Florida is physical, got into the player’s heads, and it’s the coach’s job to get his players ready to play. Brindamour has failed miserably in the Conference Championship 3 times now. The Hurricanes look like they don’t even belong in the playoffs let alone in the conference championship game. If these games were close like in 2023 we’d be frustrated but not embarrassed and that’s the difference in a coach keeping or losing their job.
    • I got down voted to hell and came back from it up some. Think Reddit Canes started to see the light today. lmfao
    • At least Rivera got the Super Bowl, and then lost is because he refused to adjust.  Rod’s likely will never get to the Stanley Cup unless the team he coaches is stacked and can overcome Rods weird decisions making.
