JR probably thought that the team having no choice but to deal with practicing at a hotel conference room built character or some dumb poo like that

i mean what other explanation is there for having training camp at the barely accommodating wofford campus for decades

Nearly a third of the league has their training camp at small colleges and universities. What makes Woffard barely accommodating? Have you ever attended training camp?

Margins are so slim in the NFL anymore that a bubble isn't going to matter much. Rivera has established a culture that allows for the attraction of top tier talent should we ever be in the market for Free Agents. These guys are pro's and by the time the regular season begins, walk thru's in the bubble or Hotel lobby aren't going to make a lick of difference.

Disagree completely. Having a professional football facility to hold practice in inclement weather is critical to late season success. Especially, as you point out, league parity. So, if teams are similarly aligned talent wise, and football is a game off inches, having an effective practice(s)  good be the difference in a win or a loss. A win in late season play could mean, your season is done or you move on to the playoffs or the next level of the playoffs.

Practicing in a hotel ballroom and being limited to a simple walk through is beneath a competitive NFL francishe.

No. Jerry’s reasoning for being a cheap bastard was every $ he spends on team facilities = less $ in his account.

Yeah practicing in a hotel lobby really helps the mentality of the players and helps them keep focused and serious. Losing an extra day or more of real practice is no big deal :eyeroll:

A professional football team consisting of many guys making north of 7 figures a year and a few making north of 8 figures a year suiting up for a franchise worth over $2 billion was practicing in a fuging hotel ballroom. Just marinate in the absurdity of that for a moment.

i’ve been here for years

every summer ppl here complain about how shitty the field is there, the lack of accessibility, the fact that the players have to practice in 93 degree weather, even the lodging.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
