Is CMC getting too many carries

Why does Ron  have Armah or Scarlett if he won’t trust them to run the ball in obvious rushing situations when we’re just trying to run the clock down or set up a field goal?  CMC is unnecessarily being exposed to these hits, the wear and tear kn his body.

27 carries in today’s NFL is ridiculous especially when the guy also caught 10 receptions and is blocking as well. Give him some rest FFS

Yeah it doesn’t seem Ron has learned this from past examples. Problem is I think he’s too scared to get fresh guys in there and have them fumble from jitters. And the longer he sits the back ups, the more anxious and excited their gonna be and the more likely they’ll be to fumble. Then Ron’s gonna pull them and not play them again.

Hopefully the line can start clicking better and we can open things up to our other playmakers in Samuel and Moore. I’m actually fine with McC playing pretty much all the snaps but agree this is too many touches. Doubt they change much though, Norv loves feeding his elite RB. Look at LT’s touches.

We should at least pepper in Scarlett every now and again.  4-6 carries a game and a few targets would be fine.  It's about finding the right moments to bring him in.  Thing is, CMC loves staying in after his own big plays when other guys typically get winded and need a breather.

Remember when we started saying that about Cam his early years. Coaches like running these guys in the ground.

    • Well, Hooker was a guy that was drafted in the 3rd round pick sitting behind a well established starter yet Detroit somehow saw enough to let him go after two offseasons.  Where does that fit into your ideal situation?
    • Like that matters. That's the first thing. I suggested that it's probably better to let a QB sit and learn, and that's what I meant. Secondly, in what planet am I making excuses, my friend, or engaging in any mental gymnastics in Bryce Young's defense? As I have said, I don't care if he turns into Mighty Mouse, it's time for him to go. In my opinion, he's too short to be a successful QB in the NFL. I have seen enough. I'd rather trade him and take my chances with Hooker, at least he's more of a prototypical size and can actually see where and why he's throwing the ball.
    • There is a scenario where our team comes out prepared to play football instead of shitting the bed for the first quarter. Every bad Bryce game seems to start with him looking incompetent - the OL looking incompetent - and the defense looking incompetent.  Boom, down 14 before we know what hit us. Imagine a world where we come prepared and play with a lead, and Bryce gets to fulfill his ceiling by managing a game instead of playing catch up. He's bad, but upon reflection he is not Clausen bad.  He can move the team down the field when he gets 4 - 5 seconds in a clean pocket against a soft zone.  I don't think Clausen could do that.
