If you could bring back 4 former players in their prime who would it be

One of the three: Greene/White/Peppers with our D would be spicy.

Smitty hands down would suck the soul out of opposing defenses.

Evan Mathis, hopefully Daley will be the next version of him.

Chris Gamble paired with Bradberry would be a sweet combo.

I weep for the DC staying up at night trying to figure out how to cover 3 smittys on the field at the same time. Talk about unmanageable.

I weep for the QB trying to figure out how to feed 3 Smiths lol.

”They can’t cover me!”

”No, they can’t cover me!”

”They can’t cover ME!”

Even Mathis is still a guy that sticks in my craw because I liked him coming out of college, we picked him, and then the staff gave up on him too soon and let him go become a Pro Bowler elsewhere.

Bah.

Surprised nobody has naked Minter yet....

Yes, all those other players were better, but he might be the biggest upgrade over the current players at those positions.

Smitty, Pep, White, etc would all be nice, but we’re strong at those positions right now, not so much at Safety.

I’d probably go with.... Gross, Minter, Norman or Gamble, and one of Kalil/Pep/Smitty as the last one.

What makes this an interesting discussion is not just who's great from the past, but who fills holes we have now. I could say Sam Mills, but Luke's got that MLB thing pretty well taken care of.

1. Smitty no brainer as others have said.

2. Peppers in his prime also a no brainer.

3. Gonna go with Kalil over Gross just based on the fact center looks much weaker atm than LT.

4. Tempted to pull a name out no one has brought up: Michael Bates. However the changes to kickoffs have made returning skills less needed, so can't justify it just on his value as a gunner. I think the consensus of Reggie White is kind of hard to argue with.

Garcia pointed out that the Paradis is looking bad because the LG is having to help out the LT.  It makes sense to me.
