not really when you remember how much allen struggles with deep balls. moore's 1 td was on a 10 yard pass where he created a lane for himself to break it long off a crossing route. when the routes go much deeper than that things tend to fall apart quickly.

We get it you hate Allen but trying to say it’s easy to understand a wide receiver on pace for 1300 yards only has 1 TD  by looking at Allen’s lack of ability to throw a deep ball is asinine and makes very little sense. You’re trying way too hard and the funny part is you don’t have to, because part of the answer is Allen’s fault - turnovers in the red zone not his long ball.

Horrific red zone plays resulting in either a FG, turnover on downs or just turnovers including Allen turning the ball over constantly is clearly why a receiver with that many yards doesn’t have TDs.

Not saying Allen’s deep ball needs work because it does but some of you hate Allen so much you’re just throwing poo. If Allen could throw a deep ball he’d have what like 2-3 TDS instead of 1? Let’s get real, he hasn’t put in the effort as pointed out by Smitty because he surely wasn’t open for a long deep ball TD more than a few times this season.

Now Samuel on the other hand I can see.

I'm not going to be very judgmental towards DJ and Curtis until we have a QB under center that can deliver them the ball more than 25 yards down field.

Teams are probably starting to key in on the fact that Allen's deep ball is as bad as a one armed Cam Newton. Would explain the increased sack rate and pressures the past few weeks.

Allen has thrown plenty of balls 15 yards lol wtf. He struggles with 25+ for sure.

Your post also doesn’t explain the lack of TDS. It explains the lack of 60+ Passing TDS. DJ Moore needs to put more effort in. Which he has the past few games.

Keep writing the narrative fells, sad.

I've always chuckled about the ridiculous expectations this board has of a #1 WR. If Moore maintains the pace he's currently on he'll have over 1200 yards. If he maintains his pace of the past three games he'll have WELL over 1200 yards.

It seems like some of y'all think that the only WRs worthy of being called a #1 WR are literally all-time great WRs.

So much effing this. Not just the huddle but I have a friend who played juco linebacker and thus his expectations for lb’s are insane. He regards Luke as decent and pretty much 95% of everybody else currently playing as garbage.

If your expectations for a No1 start with Smitty and go UP...

then maybe you should evaluate whether you are being realistic.

TDs are more often scored from the red zone vs deep balls.

Sorry I meant 25 I’m typing on my phone.

I’m not really speaking on touchdown numbers just overall production.

You should ask him just how terrible all the very good college LBs who will never even sniff the pros are then if all these pro LBs are garbage. I mean damn dude, you played JUCO ball. You must have been comically terrible!

Maybe it'd put it in perspective...or maybe he'd kick your ass. LOL!

I think there's probably a lot of truth to this. I'm always leery of backup QBs who come in an look really good at first. The truth always comes out once teams actually start compiling some film to study and start scheming their defense to force them away from their strengths and toward their weaknesses.
