We have ONE (1) win against a team with a winning record

We're starting an undrafted qb who had 1 career start before this year, with a bottom 10 offensive line and serious flaws in all phases of our team. The fact that we have even 1 win against a team with a winning record is probably more than we deserve. Why is this a thread? Let's stop pretending we aren't meeting inflated expectations. We're living up to our mediocrity.

Actually two teams if you look at current records.  The real killer though and the thing that will cost Rivera his job are losses at home to bad Tampa and Atlanta teams.  Atlanta and Tampa have seven wins combined, and two of them are in BOA stadium.

As it should cost him. Losing to really good teams is understandable but losing to bad teams isn't.

Well we have a backup QB. a Head coach with a backup brain.

No OL, No DL and Hurney is the GM lol.

Teams play us and are like "whew we got the Panthers this week" and their fans do that thing where you put the "L" next to the schedule predictions for our week. That's this team and it's current legacy.

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
