It be nice to see him produce more than one good offense before making him a head coach.

Got to the Super Bowl with Kap as the QB.  Now running a lethal offense with Jackson.

Not saying that he would be great here, but he's certainly at the top of my list right now.

He has history with the Panthers too, but that was under Jerry Richardson.

Still not my first choice, but I'd probably be okay with it.

It is all conjecture and nothing else

my personal belief, and that’s all it is .a belief, is Cam stays and ron and Hurney go

it would make zero sense to get rid of a healthy Newton or even a Newton who can strategically run and/or whose shoulder is 80%

tepper and his wife were at Cam’s fundraiser last night. Make of it what you will.

There are rumors going around that Tepper actually likes Marty and could keep him while letting everyone else go.

This is a sign of an owner that wants to get directly involved in talent evaluation and draft picks so he keeps a "token" GM around.

Let us hope that is not the case.

I really hope this is true.

With Hurney still on board that worries me. The Turner's know offense and talent yet we are still not getting good draft pics we need. I think a fresh start begins with a new GM who has a idea and a plan. Shaun McVeigh has a great offense mind but look at how that team is going to plummet in a few years.

I'm not on board with hurney. Step 1...clean house (Rivera and hurney gone) 2....hire a shrewd GM that knows his poo who wants to be good with the cap and win. 3....go get that coach.

I just hope the "Dan Snyder" vibes I'm getting about Tepper at this point are 100% wrong.

There's been way too much smoke at this point for there not to be changes this offseason. Rivera is definitely gone, apparently Hurney has won Tepper over so he might actually stay (which is a bad thing imo)

Cam is the real wildcard, there's zero reason for us to move on from him unless a team offers a king's ransom of draft picks. 19 million is chump change

I believe a pink-slip combo for Hurney and Ron is necessary. Someone mentioned earlier that Hurney was not sought after once he was relieved of his duties the first go-round. It was a solid signing after Gettlemen was shown the door as an interim-GM, but not sustainable for the long haul.

Rivera is a good guy and I 100% believe he will be employed next year somewhere. He is not a bad coach and is a players' coach.... can't get over the hump and makes some pretty dumb decisions from time to time, but all around not bad.  He's run his course in Carolina and it's time to move on.

For GM, I don't want to steal Matt Millers ideas... but I will.  I think someone like Ed Dodds in Indy or Borgonzi from KC would be well-respected hires. An 'outside the box' hire, much like in Oakland, could be Daniel Jeremiah. I would welcome any of these three, and are, IMO, better equipped for the role than Hurney.

For coaching, I'm still a firm believer in Kris Richard, and then find an offensive minded team to surround him with. Hopefully with the GMs listed above, they would bring strong analytics-driven positions as well to assist. I truly believe the days of gifted OCs and DCs are harder to find, versus using analytics to assist in decision making.

Keep Cam if he will play under his current contract. I think a healthy Cam gives us the best opportunity to win. I also question whether Cam would play under that 1-year deal without long-term insurance. This may come down to a business decision vs. a "we want or don't want Cam in Carolina" kind of decision.
