Players’ Social Media Reactions

I think it will be interesting to see the players’ reactions to today’s happenings and I haven’t seen a thread or a NFL reaction thread either.

Not a shock we haven’t heard much.  They probably had no clue.  Ron wasn’t able to say adios. Etc.

Agreed, I’m thinking because of the lack of tweets/social media reactions that they’re all in shock and coming to terms with this just as we all are. 
 

only they ALL had very personal relationships with him, so I’d imagine it’s hitting a little closer to home for the guys in the locker room and throughout the entire building.

 

It will be very interesting who talk ish now that he’s gone and who’s got his back besides the regular “it’s a business” responses once they’re back to work and the media comes in.

I'll give the players space, he was a players coach and they bought in to his...words. I expect more shock in the next year.

Regardless who the coach is, was or will be, every day on the active roster of an NFL franchise is a job interview. Whether at practice, on an off day with the family or on Sundays, you're always playing for your next paycheck and you're always playing to add footage to the film reel. Players don't have time to lament and wonder and tweet and carry on.

I got a new boss 2 notches above me on the ladder today. Didn't change a fugging thing about my job nor did I do anything differently because of the announcement.

I imagine this will sting for most of the players. For the weaknesses and shortcomings Rivera had, perhaps his greatest strength was being a leader of men. 

I genuinely believed the players played for him. His biggest strength as a HC was building relationships with his players. While letting him go is the right thing to do for the future, I doubt you’ll hear anyone saying much bad about Ron. On a personal level, I really think the plays loved the guy.

Say what you want about Ron buT the players loved him. I’m sure they had no idea this was coming and are still dealing with it.
