Steve Smith destroys Donte Jackson in FNZ interview

Didn’t see this posted, Smitty was on FNZ yesterday and had some pretty strong words for DJ... said he should change his name from Action to just Jackson, called him soft and said he retired because he couldn’t play with the “sensitive” players you see in the NFL now.

Smith called out DJ Moore and got effort. I'm not so sure that works with Donte Jackson.

This is probably a good place to point out that there's a reason why people say you should never judge a draft or draft picks within the first year.

I'm honestly not so sure on that. On running plays, you gotta be able to step up and be physical at the LOS as a nickel because you're now essentially operating as the third LB vs. the run.

Also, Smitty isn't wrong. It was a harsh assessment but it was honestly a fair one. Donte wants to talk a big game and strut around and pass on the blame of any of his shortcomings while he's getting burned for 93 yard TDs by a UDFA who had never actually caught an NFL pass previously.

Eh dj always gave effort. I think that was more directed towards curtis. Who has played soft as hell this year and seemingly has stopped on routes.

What will it take to get Steve Smith to be (at the least) the WR coach.

DJ is putting up a hell of a season, just with Smitty barking at him online some, imagine if DJ was getting every bit of potential milked out of him daily.
