I find it hard to believe, with the demographic that I believe to be a bit older being heavy on this board, that fans on here aren’t able to grasp folks having favorite players. I know I’m late, but this is the absolute truth. A lot of people on this board are Luke fans, but want to rip your head off for being a Cam fan. It’s beyond ridiculous.

Big fan of Cam and I would continue to root for him ( long as he was not a Falcon or Saint ) but I wouldn't jump ship because of one player.  Smith is my favorite all time Panther and I didn't become a Ravens fan when he was cut.  Same with all the other players i've admired over the years.  If I was to stop being a Panther fan, that is the day I stop watching NFL football.

I find the emotional distress Cam seemingly has on some fans to be hilarious.  It's like when you sense the breakup is coming and see all the signals.  You're talking yourself through the process, preparing for the end even though you love her/him and have dedicated so much of your time with them.  It is coming. You aren't anymore hehe.  But alas! we may find our next guy sooner than later.  Who's to say that can't happen sooner? #Hurts2020

No one is ripping anyone’s head off for being a fan of a player. It’s when the allegiance to said player outweighs that of the team. 
 

I see it moreso in the NBA but there have been a few people I’ve met that are Panthers fans simply because we drafted Cam. I can’t say the same for Luke. Both are great guys and players I might add.
