I don't think it should be a surprise we have a safety with that many tackles considering that our run defense has been so unbelievably bad this season.

Luke and Eric are getting lots of tackles because we don't have a single defensive lineman aong the top 50 defensive linemen in tackles.  And we don't have  many three and outs, so more opportunities for tackles.

I have him in an IDP league and he was great for me racking up LB tackle stats from the DB slot

Maybe I'm the only one, but I have seen piss poor effort out of Reid particularly when he's the last man between the ball carrier/receiver and the end zone. Like Reid has undeniably stopped some running plays that get to the second level and beyond and done well down in the box, but I've also seen just complete whiffs and half-hearted attempts at stopping guys. Honestly won't be mad if we didn't bring him back because I just do not see the kind of effort that we need in the secondary. High tackles by him don't mean much to me when the tape shows something different.

On the other hand, our entire defense seems pretty checked out right now so it's hard to hold him to that high standard.

We need to move back to the 4-3 and install Reid as the WLB. It puts his skills to best use.

It puts our best defensive players back into their best positions as well.

3-4 was an unmitigated disaster.

i was responding to someone saying Reid only jumps on piles.

he leads the team in solo tackles. solo. that means no pile.

whatever excuses you want to make up after that to discredit our solo tackle leader is just you moving the goalposts
