The case for Jameis

Can someone elaborate on "Joe Brady is only here for a year."

Who knows?  Thats pretty ridiculous if you ask me.  The only way Brady is only here for 1 year is if we somehow average 450 yards and 30+ points a game, with a revolutionary new system that just blows the doors off the entire league.  What do we think the odds of this happening next year are, realistically?

In a word, no.

Winston has the advantage of being 26, so if you could rebuild the team around him, he would not age out before it came to a head.

However, (defined as a word that means disregard everything before this word), he is a turnover machine.  Arians' offense put that on steroids, but Arians likes to wing the ball downfield, too.  So if we are wanting to do anything similar, last years near epic interception numbers by Winston should be a shot across the bow.

But assuming we are not counting on building the team around him for the future, I'm not sure why we would bring him in over Cam or any number of vets that will be available.

Sometimes the best move you can make is not to make any move.  Even if the plan is to move on from Cam, the upside of letting him prove he is healthy for the first few games of 2020 and then trying to move him to a team thinking they are a QB away from a chance at something may be our best move.

This thread was serious? Wow.

Look, if Cam is gone, why do people think we'd bring in someone who plays like him? I predict an entirely different style QB under center. FYI, I think Cam is here next season and plays 16 games. I don't like that Brady's "plan" will change because of Cam, but hey, that's life. I'd much rather see Brady get to work with a rook and gel with him together. Not because I dislike Cam, mind you, but because I feel Cam's window is closed. 2015 is ages ago, what he did as a youngin' is a lifetime ago. Current Cam is as avg as they come. Better than Allen and Doofy Beard, but avg nonetheless.

We have Cam and he can do everything Jameis can, only better.   Also next year is not a tank year.  Look experiments are fine but we are now committed to winning.  We can go 8-8 and that’s better than 1-15 because it is closer to 16-0 which should be our goal.

So wrong.  News flash...Cam Newton is fuggin injured genuis.  He cant do shet right now.  This board is basically romper room at this point.
