Teddy can't throw deep?

Charts without context and highlight videos = I don’t actually watch the games

Charts can tell a story but not 5 game charts, and what saints games I've watched I've had to go back because no I didn't watch them live.

At least you’ve gone back and watched them kudos to you, that’s more than most around here can say.

There’s a few cut ups on Youtube of all Teddy’s passing attempts from his 2015 season. He loves passing out to the flats, his checkdowns and the shallow cross. He does make a few nice deep throws to Diggs in the 5 games I watched but it’s not something he does often.

It’ll be interesting to see how he attacks defenses in Brady’s offense. The deep shots will be there, will he take them? I don’t think it’ll be as often as many of us will like when they’re there to be had.

Throughout my time watching the NFL, there are many who started off with a thud, sat for a while, learned behind a pro, and stepped up later.  He seems to fit that mold.  We will see.

If you need examples, I have many.

Plunkett

Chandler

Moon

Cunningham

Tanneyhill

Those that seemed to benefit from watching for a year or two:

Rodgers

S. Young

With a strong supporting cast, he is going to be good.

Point was middle and left side target accuracy was decent. Still to little for a chart to show enough but it's something. The tape I've seen I've liked, what about you?

How do you know the accuracy? What numbers are you using. Thomas lines up everywhere. That chart is useless is the only point.

Huge upgrade over Allen and already knows the majority of the offense. We have many young fast weapons, and we are one Guard away from having an extremely respectable offense.

Plus anyone with half a brain realizes that we signed him to a really decent contract to the team, that we can easily move on if things don’t work out. Really nothing that you can hate about this signing if you believe we could be in the running to compete a year from now.  Our defense is a year away from being competitive at a minimum, so if he performs like a starting QB with the weapons we have, we could compete next year easily with one more offseason to infuse draft picks and vets through FA. Building that defense and our system being in place a full season will do wonders for our team.

Our defense is probably a DE away from a top 15 unit and a CB away from a top 10. I think we will always be more lopsided to offense with Rhule but that's not horrible considering how bad our talent levels were last year.

I don't think the knock is that he can't, I think it's that he hasn't wanted to take the chances in the past.  If Anderson and Samuel can't convince him to though, idk what will.

Teddy is the in Alex Smith mold. Won't lose many games due to mistakes but won't elevate the team either. The Chiefs going from Smith to Mahomes is a perfect example.

Drew Brees didn't really throw deep a lot either last year. I'm willing to give Teddy a chance just like I have Cam a chance. Here is the same chart for Cam in 2018, the last year he played a significant amount of games. Cam did some great things here, and we can never forget those good moments. Sometimes change is just needed, heck look at Tom Brady, he needed and wanted change. There are two sides to a commitment, and with Brady the player wanted change, with Cam the organization wanted change.

OK, here is the deal.  Do not DEBUNK the OP or the charts/discussion he is willing to share.  There is no baseball.  there is no basketball.  There is no football.  There is NOTHING going on in sports, and you asshats attack someone for sharing something by trying to spew your negativity all over the thread like a cat in heat.

Most of these "validity experts" do not create threads--that makes them insecure--so they try to discredit those that do.  Shut the fug up.  We do not need your dumb asses trying to disprove everything--we think and make judgements too.

Damn people.  My regards to the people you are currently sharing housing with--I can't imagine what that is like.

Not so bad on this thread, but I saw the same ole pee holes bringing their traditional, negative spin to the thread--we get so tired of it.  Thank you, Madwolf, for contributing to the worst offseason ever.  I thought you would not have this problem from these turds, with Burger King and KFC remaining open and delivering.  Apparently, they did not make the cut.
