Definitely not a Hurney pick. Just watched NFLN do a piece on him said Rhule was familiar with him since Baylor played him and some of our coaches (no idea which ones) were familiar with him in the XFL. Not sure I got the XFL connection right, but just like Rhule recruiting Gross-Matos, Rhule would be very familiar with him from Baylor.

Exactly.  The 2nd Half of last year was such a disaster I don't think it's fair to make sweeping judgments.  Donte definitely made some mistakes and his confidence seemed to take a hit, but he still has starting CB talent.

I think Rhule is going to give all these guys a clean slate and make them work for everything.  

I still hope we resign Cockrell tomorrow.  We've gone a long way toward fixing the defense in the draft, but it's going to take more than 1 draft to fix this mess.

Kenny Robinson will have a role at least in sub-packages early on for the Panthers if he makes the team, as more and more teams play with three or more safeties on the field at the same time.
